Ladies & Gentlemen, we are very pleased to announce the release of our first plugin on the wordpress.org repository – a nifty little lightbox plugin called Distinctive Lightbox.
So, what does it do?
Well, simply put – the plugin can sniff out any links which lead direct to an image, or youtube/vimeo URL for that matter, and turn them into a gorgeous, touch-enabled and fully responsive lightbox! Neat!
Although a nice lightbox is great, we really wanted to offer decent caption support, meaning we wanted you to be able to specify the title and content of the image captions (including HTML) and control where they lay in relation to the image itself – so thats exactly what we did.
Where possible, the plugin will try to gather this meta information for you, or you can use your image titles/alt tags if you prefer – or even disable captions entirely!
