When creating a popup you have a number of options which allow you to control how the popup should behave. These can be found under “General Settings” and look like the image below. We will now detail each of the settings.

1 – Trigger Button Shortcode

This is where you will find the shortcode which allows you to place a popup in any page etc, you will also find the unique CSS class you can use if you wish to trigger a popup from a custom link. Please note – when you initially create a popup, this area will remain blank – this is expected and you will find the shortcode appears one the popup us published.

2 – Popup Trigger Type

Here you can choose how you want your popup to appear. You can have it appear when a user clicks a button etc by setting the popup to “Manually Open”, or to have it appear automatically or after a delay, simply choose the relevant option.

3 – Auto Open Delay/Idle Timer

Here you can specify how long the popup should wait to appear when using the “auto open” or “idle” triggers.

4 – Cookie Expiration

When set to 0 the cookie (if applicable) will be session based only – if you wish to change this you can enter the number of days before the cookie expires here.

5 – Cookie ID

This is where the cookie ID is set – if you wish to test a modal or simply change the unique ID you can do so here.

6 – Force Popup?

Here you can choose to ignore any cookie’s which have been set and show the popup regardless. Use this if your creating a Manual Popup (otherwise once a user 1st closes a popup it wont appear upto revisit – cookie dependant)
